Living in a South Florida and in a tropical setting is to live in a lush, delicious, and dynamic world full of color, sight, sound and smell. My goal is to impart some of this richness to the viewers of my paintings.
There is no specific subject matter that I prefer to paint. Human or natural forms don't have to be beautiful or exiciting, but their form and color must light an emotional spark within me. The subject also dictates the medium or mediums that I will use in my painting. I do not consider myself a "medium "purist", although knowing the limits of different mediums is important to be able to obtain quality in my work. I work with both the brush as well as the pallette knife. The subject dictates how I will paint. Going through my work, one will see that the natural world is my preferance.
